Happy Hour

Sometimes at work we need a happy hour. Its not the kind of happy hour you are thinking of, it's Starbucks happy hour. Half off frappacinos, oh yeah baby! I had to step out of the shop today and upon my return I had two wonderful drinks in my hand that would allow us to get through the four walk in brides (who all entered at the same time. No joke!) I brought my friend Kortney her strawberries and cream and I had a mocha coconut frappacino.

Here is my friend Kortney. We get along great and talk about fashion almost everyday.

The wonderful drinks! There is nothing more to say!

High Fashion Models

We were asked by miss Tanya to help her out by modeling some clothes for Sears her in Bellevue. We had so much fun that I had to take and post some pictures of this hilarious adventure.

We had exactly an hour to find an outfit that we liked and that fit. It turned out to be much harder to find an outfit than we thought it would be. We walked around for 20 minutes just looking. We finally just started grabbing clothes and went to the dressing room. Katy and I finally found outfits that we thought were actually cute and wouldn't mind taking exchange for doing the fashion show. (We got a $10 Sear gift card instead.)

When you think of a fashion show you think of a long runway with lights and music. Here is the Sears fashion show....walk up the broken escalator and pose while Tanya announces over the loud speaker your name and what you are wearing. We couldn't keep from laughing and feeling stupid the whole time. All I kept telling myself was this is for the wonderful Tanya.

Look at that my man is a hot model!! Haha!

Katy in her adorable sundress and uncomfortable white flip flops. Oh yeah, we even had to pick out shoes.

Plaid...nice choice!

There we are. The whole gang who was in this amazing fashion show. Don't we look snazzy!

Most of you don't know this but this is the Gateway Life Band's famous pose. Oh yeah, take it all in. We know you want to stand like that.

These are the adorable boys in their works boots. They wanted the rugged Adam Lambert look.
And these are the lovely ladies. Aren't we gorgeous Sears models. Hehe. You can make fun, we made fun of ourselves.

So this was our wonderful evening at the bustling Sears here in Bellevue. Even though we felt stupid we did have a fun night.

My Sami

I love my girlie so much! She is so beautiful inside and out. For so many years I have always tried to watch my life choices and actions because I know that this young beautiful girl is looking up to me. If she is the only life that I made an impact on then I have done my job as a young woman of God. I will always and forever be a strong and confident woman for this young lady to look up to. I love you Sami and I will always be there for you.

Travis and I took Brooklin to McDonald's after a long day of running around on a Saturday afternoon. And of course she wanted a sweet tea. She was so excited because I told her she could have her own sweet tea. I love seeing Brooklin smile, she gets excited over the smallest things.

Brooklin and I had a race who could finish their ice cream first. Travis also told her that if she finished her ice cream he would give her a dollar.

Brooklin with her very own sweet tea. I tried to fake her out by giving her half sweet half un-sweet but she was too smart. The first thing she said was this is not very sweet.

Our day ended with Brooklin getting her dollar. I love this little girl so much and I hate to see her go home. She bring so much fun to our lives.

Happy Graduation Alissa!

Tonight I received the honor of sitting at the graduation of Ms. Alissa Toews. She was promoted from 8th grade to the big "high" school. Congratulations Alissa! We are all proud of you girlie.
Alissa was the cutest girl. She was all dressed up with her hair flat ironed and had on these high wedges. She was almost a head taller than everyone else. She was actually taller than Cindy.
When Alissa walked down the center isle her fan club yelled and cheered. I did take some pictures tonight but I wish the real photographer could have been there.

Isn't Alissa so cute. Anytime there is a camera she is all smiles. She is definitely not afraid of the camera.

This is Alissa's friend Whitney. They are almost like two peas in a pod. I just love her dress.

This is when Alissa got her little rolled up piece of paper like a diploma. It had special sayings on it from either teachers or famous people.

Alissa and all of her cool friends. She is just so popular!

The Toews Family! They all look so cute. Now look at how tall Alissa is. She is like a weed, she won't stop growing. Now I'm not saying she looks like a weed, but that she grows like one. Just wanted to make that one straight!

I just had to put this one on here. I love Bubbles!
Tonight was so much fun. We even went out to Cancun afterward and had dinner in celebration of two cutie pie graduates!

A Very Important Question...

Tonight was a very special night. This was the night that I asked my best friend to be my maid of honor. I took her out to a place called Cabana on West End. This restaurant had the coolest atmosphere. There were glass doors that rolled up all around the entire place so the breeze just blew through and it had low lighting. Plus, it even had cabana type alcoves where you could close drapes and be very secluded. I made reservations at 8pm and the place was hopping with people, now mind you that this place stays open till 2am.

Katy and I had the works! We started off with Cabanas homemade chips and some kind of cheese dipping sauce. These chips were so good!
Katy and I were in the mood for pasta! Look at how yummy they look. I'm not even a fan of pasta that much and this was amazing. They were so full of flavor.

We finished off the evening with some delectable dessert and coffee.

This was my peanut butter cake. You could taste the real peanut butter but it had a mousse like substance. It was very good, Travis was kind of jealous thoguh.

Katy had a Coca-Cola cake. I have never had it before but it was really good but, oh so rich.
The rest of the evening was when I asked my bestie the famous question. I started out the speech like this:
"You don't know where I have been and what I have gone through. But when we moved here I didn't have the friends like I did in California. There was always someone to do something with. I never thought that I would have a best friend like that again. And then you came! There are so many thing about us that are so much the same and then there are so many things about us that are so different. I love you and you have become the person that I would call my best friend."
She got a little nervous at this point and had tears in her eyes. She then told me this:
"You have become that for me as well. I am not the person I use to be and I can't hang out with the people I once hung out with and expect to still be the person I need to be. I feel like I can tell you anything and I love you."
We both had our little moment and then I told her to open her present.
Here is what her present looked liked from the outside. It was gorgeous! I did have a little help from my mother though. I can't take all of the credit.

Isn't it just adorable!
When Katy pulled the bag out she thought I was asking her to be my bridesmaid but I told her that I could not find any cute bags that said maid of honor. It was at that point that she got all teary eyed.

At that point Katy told me that it would be her honor to be my maid of honor. And then we got so excited and started talking all about weddings and what we want and tons of girl stuff. This two men besides us kept looking over in our direction because I was taking so many pictures through dinner. After I apologized for my mothers bright flash they said, "Oh, we don't mind. I take pictures of my food all the time." Then he asked if we wanted him to take a picture of the both of us.

I had so much fun tonight with my girl. I am so happy because now I can talk about it. I have been holding it in for months because I wanted to wait until the right time and make it really special for the both of us.

Katy, I am so happy that you will be with me through this fun and joyous process. I love you so much girl!

The Ball Started Rollin'

As of today I feel that we have officially started with our wedding plans. We met with the event coordinator at our venue who will helped with everything. I love it because I still can have the vendors I want but they get to do the contracts and all that blah blah blah stuff. Today was the initial meeting where she really got to know us and what we were looking for. I have been actively working on our guest list, Ti, Bethany, and Cinnamon would be proud. I am also working on a wedding website so people can go there to find out where everything will be held and what hotels are near the venue. I am very proud of myself and my accomplishments. Now I was a very bad girl today and did not take that many pictures and I am very sorry for that, but I will show you what I do have.

This is one of the Nashville Event Spaces and this is also where we met for our meeting. It is gorgeous inside. It has brick walls and hardwood floors with floor to ceiling windows showing the Cumberland River.

This is my new "Bride" bag! Isn't it adorable. I love carrying it.

At the end of the wedding planning day, I took my mom to the shop, meaning Glitz Bridal, and showed her the veil and shoes that I have in mind for the big day. I almost got tears from her when I put the veil on, but as you know she is a dried up well.
Tomorrow I have very exciting news for you all. I have been holding this in for months now and I feel that I am bursting at the seams. I am going to share with you who will be my maid of honor. That position means a lot to me because this is the person that I want by my side through this joyous adventure in my life. This person is someone who means the world to me in so many ways and she has absolutely no idea.
