Reese's Peanut Butter Cheesecake

We celebrated my dads birthday a couple of Sundays ago so I made him a Reese's Peanut Butter Cheesecake. This cheesecake was so good!!! Everyone loved it. There was only one piece left after the party. There are a lot of steps in the process of making it but it is so worth it.

Franklin Bridal Ball

Some of you already may know I just went to the Franklin Bridal Ball. It was so much fun!!! It was held at the Factory which is an old redone factory that has little shops throughout and is rented out for weddings and big events. Its so cool inside. The first 300 hundred brides got a pink baseball cap with an attached veil and a Pink Book. (Pink Book is huge in the wedding industry here in Tennessee. The book they gave away was a book of vendors for all wedding topics in different cities.) My mom also got me a Pink Book t-shirt that has a cute saying on the back like "I promise to be nice to my mother in law and never to wear flannel p.j.'s and to understand when my father acts like George Banks" and so on.

There was one vendor I wanted to talk to more than any other, the rest were just for fun. I wanted to speak with One Source Weddings, a wedding coordinator where its a one stop shop. Flowers, wedding cakes, decor, videography, photography, everything they do and do very, very well. And her ideas are fantastic!!! I talked with her and her assistants for at least half-n-hour to 45 minutes. After that we just walked around getting ideas and trying new things like chocolate covered cheesecake balls on a stick. They were awesome!!!! After that we went to the fashion show but I wasn't to impressed with the dresses. They all looked the same.

This is some work of One Source Weddings

This is an ice sculpture centerpiece

This was a little old lady who was more into the wedding plans than a young bride would be. She was all into it with her pink baseball cap!!All in all this was a fun event. I wish my other aunTI was by my side to help me pick out the very last detail of my wedding and home decor or any other opinions she would throw out at me without asking.

I've gotten a call from 3 different school everyday for the past week so I finally stopped putting them off. Plus the work I do during the week for the church. My calendar is getting maxed out. But I will post about my fabulous time at the Franklin Bridal Ball. Wedding plans are so much fun!!!!

I Found a Lightning Bug!!

The night of the movie in the park Travis and I were walking up to the door and I kept seeing something blinking. I finally bent down to see that it was a lightning bug that was hurt and wouldn't fly. So to enjoy this little bug I took pictures and even video of it. Im talking but you can't see me or the bug just of its little light when it comes on. I thought it would be cool for all of you to see just how ugly a lightning bug really is. They are so much cuter from a distance when there little butts light up.

That is his little butt lighting up!!

Ok I know its overexposed, the my flash was bounching back at me. But that little black thing is a lightning bug. Not very cute, huh?

Recap of Sunday

Sunday was awesome!! Every week we are seeing new people. This week one of the new people was named Ashley and she is engaged to be married in October so we talked for the longest time about wedding ideas and wedding plans. We feel so blessed to be leading these people into worship and also teaching them how to worship freely and openly. Every week we see people learning and growing as well as watching new people walk in every Sunday. Its amazing how blessed and honored we feel to have this privelige of being a part of people's lives.

Hey guys its Travis I just wanted to say that I miss all of you and we are doing awesome. Worship seems to grow in intensity every week and we are seeing breakthroughs in worsip on a weekly basis. Talk to you guys later.

Movie in the Park

There is a huge annual thing here called Movie in the Park. Yes they actually show a movie in a park. So its not just in the movies like you see the Wedding Planner, its real. It was so much fun, too. They show a movie every Wednesday night for a month. We went and saw the movie Shrek the Third. We took a blanket, a thermos full of coffee and a couple of cookies and had so much fun. There was so many people there!! It was held close to the Parthenon which is an exact replica of a historic building in Greece or Rome. I can't remember the place. But it is so beautiful.

There were so many teenagers just hanging out around this place, its like the cool hangout. They also have swings just around the entire park where people would just sit.

My Famous Salad

If you don't know already I love salads. I have a little bit of my aunt in me so I take the time to cut up all the vegetables and place them just right on the plate so all the color is evenly dispersed. I also love to saute the chicken in olive oil with a little garlic salt. I have to say that salad looks pretty darn good. I think I'm gonna go make lunch!!

Scrapbook Store Again

So going to the scrapbook store once this week wasn't enough we had to go again today. Timeless Reflections was having what they call a yard sale but it wasn't the kind of yard sale you are thinking of. It was in the store in a room where everything was marked down a lot. The owner also had some customers bring their stuff in to sell in this "Yard Sale". It was cool, there was tons to choose from. So we had been there long enough so the three of us, Mom, Ang, and Me, kind of got really loud and loopy. We started just snapping pictures of each other taking pictures. Don't worry there aren't any pictures of scrapbooking just of three insane women.

This is the basket of all the stuff my mom found. (Ok I found for her!)

Make & Take

One of the first things we did when we got here was find a scrapbook store, obviously. We found a store called Timeless Reflections and the lady that owns the store is so much fun. She just talks and laughs. Her husband actually wrote the songs "My Best Friend" and "Let's Make Love" both sang by Tim McGraw and one with Faith Hill. He also wrote a song for Kenny Chesney and some other artist who's name I forgot.

We went into the store today to do what it called a make-n-take. It was a little book for the fourth of July and of course I haven't finished it yet. I need pictures!! I can't do all that last minute embellishment if I don't have the pictures. It was a lot of fun and it gave us just enough time to get out of the house. There was actually a thunderstorm this morning. So loud I actually woke up and then some sunshine and then a little more rain in the evening.

This is the book we made.

Mom and Ang shoppin' to the scrapin'. Haha ok I know I'm an idiot.

This is the book in the process of making it.

Of course daddy had to come back so he could pay. That is a privilege daddy!!

I had to tickle him to get him to smile.

Movie Night

Travis won four movie passes by calling into this radio show so we decided to use a couple of them and go see The Incredible Hulk. We invited Jessie who intuen invited a guy named Eric that Jessie and I met while swimming at her pool. He is a very nice guy who is here for only three months on an internship for mastering in music. We all went to a movie theatre down the street but it is so small, it only has twelve screens and only plays certian movies. That is the only one we know about so we went to that one. The movie was really cool, it was a sequel to the first Hulk but I won't ruin the story.

This is the little rinky dink movie theatre with only 12 screens.

We always have a lot of fun together can't ya tell.

Im Turnin' Country!

So on our "Night Out On the Town" we went into a store that sold cowboy boots. I have been wanting red cowboy boots for a long time and I finally found them. They are so cute!!! So I wanted to share them with all of you to see what you thought of them. This store had so many cowboy boots, I mean they had boots even in lavender. Now that is a stretch!

A Night Out on the Town

So one night Travis and I were wanting something to do so we went downtown to see some bands and just have a little fun. We went downtown on a Friday night so all the drinkin' up late dancin' on the bar people were out. We wanted to go to a place called Legends downtown where they have a band playing all most every night but when we got there it was way after six so I couldn't get in because I wasn't 21 yet. That kind of sucked!!! We walked the streets of downtown and came to Ernest Tubb Record Shop. It was really cool because they had all these kind of photos of singers years ago. They also had a steel guitar that he use to play and a lot of his outfits displayed. They had sequins up the butt on them. After that we walked to an old fashioned ice cream store and got peanut butter fudge ice cream in a home made waffle cone. It was so good but it was so sweet that I couldn't finish it. While walking to the ice cream shop we stopped to listen to a man playing a guitar, singing, and playing the tambourine with his foot sitting in front of a Fedex store. But his look wasn't at all like what his voice sounded like. He was this overweight really sweaty bald guy. It was a fun night out on the town.

4th of July Fun!!!

On the 4th of July we went to my grandparents house in Clarskville but of course we had to stop at Starbucks before the hour long drive and yes I got a lemon cookie. We we got into Clarksville we stopped at a store that sold just fireworks. An entire store dedicated to selling just fire works and all year long. Most of the fire works in this store would have been illegal in California. (This big Box of fireworks was $1200.00. Wow!!!)

(When I first saw this firework I thought it was one big huge firework but it was four fireworks wrapped up into one. It was just a in a cute package.)

(Now these are Roman Candle Fireworks. Yes they a illegal in California but not in Tennessee.)

(This is the sign to fireworks store. You can see that they are open all year long.)

When we finally got to Grammy and Papa's house as soon as we walked in the door the food was ready and on the table. She made bar-b-q sandwhiches and baked beans. So good!!!! So then we had to pretty much waste 4 hours until it got dark enough so we could do fireworks. The guys did there guy thing in the garage while us women sat on the couch and drank coffee and talked and talked ....and talked some more.

It finally got dark enough, Alex couldn'twait any longer, so we went outside to start the fun. I could probably type all the fun but I'm sure it be would way more fun it you could watch it yourself.

(Auntie Re Re got Alex the flags!)

(One of our boxes of various fireworks)

Mike lit this firework not knowing what it would do and we had no idea that it shot little fireworks in the air.

Micheal wanted this little firecracker to blow up in the air so he had to light the fuse and then hold it so the fuse would go down and then throw it up in the air. But he kept letting it go because it was going down to his fingertips and he got a little scared.

Travis and I bought these fireworks that shoot up into the air but we hadn't ever seen then done so we weren't expecting them to go so high or to make a loud boom! So we were all kind of shocked and it definitly shows.

Daddy with his lighting stick because Papa didn't have a lighter that actually worked.

Aww, the engaged couple, aren't they so cute!!

Alex with his sparklers!!!

Mike with his kind of sparkers!!!

Another firecracker that shoots up in the air.

Mike said it right, "Thats a California firework." So sorry for y'all.

This one of the fireworks that shot up in the air. I thought it looked so pretty.

This is Mike with sparklers dancing like a little fairy. And the woman he is trying to scare is his wife, which you can hear he did.

All in all, it was an awesome 4th of July. This was the first 4th of July I spent with my grandparents and it was also the first 4th of July I spent without the gumps, mema, grandma, and Travis's family. It wasn't the same at all without you guys and I miss you all so so so so much. I love you guys
