A Very Important Question...

Tonight was a very special night. This was the night that I asked my best friend to be my maid of honor. I took her out to a place called Cabana on West End. This restaurant had the coolest atmosphere. There were glass doors that rolled up all around the entire place so the breeze just blew through and it had low lighting. Plus, it even had cabana type alcoves where you could close drapes and be very secluded. I made reservations at 8pm and the place was hopping with people, now mind you that this place stays open till 2am.

Katy and I had the works! We started off with Cabanas homemade chips and some kind of cheese dipping sauce. These chips were so good!
Katy and I were in the mood for pasta! Look at how yummy they look. I'm not even a fan of pasta that much and this was amazing. They were so full of flavor.

We finished off the evening with some delectable dessert and coffee.

This was my peanut butter cake. You could taste the real peanut butter but it had a mousse like substance. It was very good, Travis was kind of jealous thoguh.

Katy had a Coca-Cola cake. I have never had it before but it was really good but, oh so rich.
The rest of the evening was when I asked my bestie the famous question. I started out the speech like this:
"You don't know where I have been and what I have gone through. But when we moved here I didn't have the friends like I did in California. There was always someone to do something with. I never thought that I would have a best friend like that again. And then you came! There are so many thing about us that are so much the same and then there are so many things about us that are so different. I love you and you have become the person that I would call my best friend."
She got a little nervous at this point and had tears in her eyes. She then told me this:
"You have become that for me as well. I am not the person I use to be and I can't hang out with the people I once hung out with and expect to still be the person I need to be. I feel like I can tell you anything and I love you."
We both had our little moment and then I told her to open her present.
Here is what her present looked liked from the outside. It was gorgeous! I did have a little help from my mother though. I can't take all of the credit.

Isn't it just adorable!
When Katy pulled the bag out she thought I was asking her to be my bridesmaid but I told her that I could not find any cute bags that said maid of honor. It was at that point that she got all teary eyed.

At that point Katy told me that it would be her honor to be my maid of honor. And then we got so excited and started talking all about weddings and what we want and tons of girl stuff. This two men besides us kept looking over in our direction because I was taking so many pictures through dinner. After I apologized for my mothers bright flash they said, "Oh, we don't mind. I take pictures of my food all the time." Then he asked if we wanted him to take a picture of the both of us.

I had so much fun tonight with my girl. I am so happy because now I can talk about it. I have been holding it in for months because I wanted to wait until the right time and make it really special for the both of us.

Katy, I am so happy that you will be with me through this fun and joyous process. I love you so much girl!

The Ball Started Rollin'

As of today I feel that we have officially started with our wedding plans. We met with the event coordinator at our venue who will helped with everything. I love it because I still can have the vendors I want but they get to do the contracts and all that blah blah blah stuff. Today was the initial meeting where she really got to know us and what we were looking for. I have been actively working on our guest list, Ti, Bethany, and Cinnamon would be proud. I am also working on a wedding website so people can go there to find out where everything will be held and what hotels are near the venue. I am very proud of myself and my accomplishments. Now I was a very bad girl today and did not take that many pictures and I am very sorry for that, but I will show you what I do have.

This is one of the Nashville Event Spaces and this is also where we met for our meeting. It is gorgeous inside. It has brick walls and hardwood floors with floor to ceiling windows showing the Cumberland River.

This is my new "Bride" bag! Isn't it adorable. I love carrying it.

At the end of the wedding planning day, I took my mom to the shop, meaning Glitz Bridal, and showed her the veil and shoes that I have in mind for the big day. I almost got tears from her when I put the veil on, but as you know she is a dried up well.
Tomorrow I have very exciting news for you all. I have been holding this in for months now and I feel that I am bursting at the seams. I am going to share with you who will be my maid of honor. That position means a lot to me because this is the person that I want by my side through this joyous adventure in my life. This person is someone who means the world to me in so many ways and she has absolutely no idea.

The 4th Gump

This is the newest addition to our family! In the words of Brooklin her name is Coco Adoration Capri Gump Egle. This poor child has so many names but we all know she will be loved and adored. I can't wait to see you baby Addi!

Great People, Awesome Friends

I missed some of my friends so much while I was gone that I thought I would take a few pictures and blog about them.

This is my sunshine or my favorite nickname, Bubbles. She always has a smile on her face and can put one on anyone else's face. When this girl first decided that she wanted to do media she didn't even know how to turn on the laptop. Now she is training other media people and has an awesome vision for the media department. Oh by the way she does have a real name, Brooke.

This is Katy. I have to say we are like two peas in a pod. I love this girl so much and she always has my back. When she first came to Gateway she was a cute blonde country girl and look at her now. She is sassier than ever. I love her spunk!!! But she is more than just a funky girl, she is an awesome woman of God and I am honored to share the stage with her. This woman is writing songs and she is a spectacular leader. The potential I see in her is so great, I don't think she even recognizes it in herself.
I love these girls! They are such awesome people and I am glad to call them my close friends.

Long Time No See

I know I haven't been the best blogger in blog land but I am definitely going to try harder at posting regularly. I am sorry but I have been busy with Christmas, wedding, and now with Easter but that is no excuse for not blogging. So I am certainly going try to take more pictures to show the joys of my life.

Starbie's and Pedi's

On Friday night we had a girls night out called Starbie's and Pedi's. It was so much fun!! We met at Starbucks and grab a coffee, which by the way it was on of the girls first Starbucks coffee ever. I was completely shocked but she loved it. She said that you would have to get a second job just to support your Starbucks habit. After we all got our drink of choice we headed over to the nail salon where we all got a pedicure. They had six workers working on our group so we wouldn't be there till midnight. There were a few who had problems when they worked on their feet and you will see those pictures later.

This is Katie and Tanya her mom at Starbucks.

This is Geri, which is Tanya's sister in law, and the lovely Alissa and Cindy. This is Virgina and Bonnie. Miss Bonnie just got engaged a few weeks ago. We are very happy for her and Silver. Congrats you guys!!!This is my lovely Katie. She helps me so much and I always know that I can count on her to get the job done with such excellence. She has a great heart and she is a might woman of God who is going to to great things for Him. I love you Katie girl!!I know who's toes these are. Tanya has such cute little toes.So Katie was the crazy one. When they would touch parts of her feet she freaked out. I enjoyed watching her very much. There she goes again!!!So here was a hilarious part of the evening. The chairs that you sit in have massagers in them. Well Alissa was trying it out and pushed the bottom button. Well she was laughing so much because of the massager. It would go up in the middle and then down and the up again. This is the girl who had her first Starbucks coffee. Carmel Frappaccino!! Yummo!!

So after our girls night out was over they didn't want the party to end. So we all headed over to Sir Pizza and had the best pizza since we have lived here. For all you Californians it is a lot like Me-N-Ed's, which we don't have here.

It was such a fun evening and it is something we will definitely have to do again. What girl doesn't like having a pedicure. The woman have requested once a month. But I have a lot of other ideas brewing for us ladies.

Travelin' In Style

This morning when I woke up I walked down the hallway and into the living room to find that my wonderful parents bought me the coolest luggage. I saw the set last night at a store and completely fell in love with them. For those of you who don't know there is a chance that I might be going to Chicago for another business trip and I will also have a very special trip that will take place in March so luggage has become a necessity.

This is the very nice luggage that has a hard shell with a TSA approved lock. Its specially designed so I can lock the bags but if is TSA needed to open it then they have a key that would open them. Now if we could just make sure that they locked them back. But any way I will always know that they are mine because they literally scream "ASHLEY'S LUGGAGE". Here are a few pictures...

This is the special lock for the TSA.

Look for wheels for easy gliding. I love to roll them around, very smooth!! I must also say that these are the cutest bags for any girl's honeymoon trip. Hehe

Travis and I also made another purchase recently, we bought a new laptop. For those of you who don't know we have had a lot of trouble with Travis' laptop. It would go into hibernation mode and not come out of it for weeks. We finally gave up when it went into hibernation mode when we were in California back in June and it still has not come to life. Here are a few pictures of our new toy.
