4th of July

For the 4th of July Travis and I took Gammer and Grandad to The Melting Pot downtown. It also decided to rain on the 4th of July which really sucked, but it actually turned out to be a pretty good evening. It is a tradition for The Melting Pot to turn off all of the burners and let you go out their back door to have a front row seat to the firework show.

Here are all of the ingredients to our Spinach Artichoke Cheese Dip. It was so delicious!!
Here is our uncooked meat that we had to cook in the broth. You put screws in the meat and then cook it and dip it into one of the many sauces they give you.

Here are all of the pictures of the most amazing fireworks that all happened over the Cumberland River.

Aren't they the cutest elderly couple ever.

It rained so much during the fireworks that the street was flooding and people were drenched from head to toe. I felt so bad because Travis and I had my moms huge umbrella while they were dripping wet.

Now for dessert we had the Flaming Turtle Chocolate. It was made of milk chocolate, caramel, and pecans. It was so delicious!!!

This is all the little goodies that you get to dip into the chocolate. Tasty!!!

When me and Gammer ordered our coffee our waiter actually asked us if she was my grandmother and then we explained that Travis was actually blood related not me. But I still consider them my grandparents. We had an amazing night with them.

  2. Ash, I love that place. It's been so long since I've been there, I think I forgot how to do it. We must go when I come for a visit.

Looks like you all had a blast.

  3. For sure we will have to go! We will have to have a girls night because Ang is begging me to go as well. But I told her that her first visit should be with Mike in a love shack booth.
