The black damask is actually raised on the lid. I'll take some pictures of the other things I have gotten and post them so you all can see.

Hope Chest
When we first came here my grammy (my dads mom) asked me if I had a hope chest. I had absolutely n0 clue what a hope chest was so grammy proceeds to tell me that when she was growing up it was a cedar chest an she would fill it with the things she wanted in her house when she got married. I told her that I probably wouldn't start one because then I'm going to have to keep it all protected and safe until we do get married or get a place of our own. I told her I would just buy stuff once we got married and fill our house then. But then I saw gorgeous black goblet glasses that I couldn't pass up. Travis is a sucker cause I only had to ask once. (Haha I love you babe.) And that is how is all got started. Then I (Travis) bought a zebra bench that could be used as storage or sitting. I have gotten a lot of little things to fill it. (Because now it full and I can't fit any more in it, I'm gonna need a storage unit next.) But I came across a cake plate. Now I know you are all laughing right now because all of you thing that I can't cook or bake but I can and I will.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to help you put all your stuff away in your new house!!! I love your hope chest and that cake plate is so cute! I initially wanted to do my kitchen in black and white and use alot of the damask...But now, I think it would clash with the rest of my decor. LOL.

OMG!! the cake plate is divine!!! I love it very much. I can see how it is raised in the photo. So cute.
And Ang...by the way, I will be there to help with the putting away of the kitchen stuff. I will drive all of you crazy with my organizing stuff. I am sure even Ash!! I will organize her fridge, cabinets and drawers. Ha!! Trabis, I told you long ago, you didn't know what you got yourself into with this family. I can be doing that while you guys are doing "other" things.

Omg Ti you are so crazy. And there prolly won't be that much to organize in our kitchen. We'll just be starting out. We won't have all this accumulated stuff that you like to just throw in the garbage. And Trabis misses you ti like crazy. He is constantly telling me, "I miss Ti."
